Helio Heat is a good phone, but what do you guys think about the Helio Fin? I think it's a better built phone and when I went to the Helio store in Arlington, VA, the electrostatic touch pad was whack.

Actually, it's very similar to the E900, but if you do some research, the Heat is designated SPH-A303. I have one of these, and It really does do everything it says. I don't know about the drop though. I've been doing my best to keep it in good condition.

This phone is just overhyped by Helio, its essentially a Samsung E900 which is a crap phone, the touch sensitive keys are annoying as hell, The stated GPS functionality isnt available int he samsung E900 so I dont know where that came from and also the E900 has 2 megapixel camera and not 1.3.

HelioMan I really doubt a phone like the E900 would survive such a drop, thats not a stress test anymore thats blatant abuse.

The Heat is Helio's entry level handset and for its price packs a mean punch. I've used this phone for a while now and its awesome. It is very durable and passed a stress test of being thrown out of the 2nd story balcony and only suffered scratches. GPS capability tied with google maps will leave you amazed wherever you go. for $150, i believe this is the best device you can get.

Don't call it a phone..
