Verizon + BlackBerry 8830 for consumers – May 28th

Happiness is flying around the States now as non-business Verizon customers should be able to order the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition as of May 28th. You will be able to pick up the 8830 for $400 with two year contract.

But……with Verizon there is always a but…..and here they have once again crippled a fantastic phone….GPS is disabled, so you would become dependent on Verizons weaker Navigator. I only have a few months left in contract….Hello Cingular!!!!

as long as verizon did not lock the gsm and i can use it in asia. i’m all good. i dont care too much about the gps.
