BlackBerry Storm Launches-Bell

December 10th, 2008

Not wanting to be beat by its rival Telus-Bell followed suit and also launched the BlackBerry Storm today.  A press release from  Bell Mobility published by CNW confirms the news and the $249.95 (3 year term with $45 voice and data combination) 2 & 1 year as well as no contract pricing was published-but we can assume it will be close the Telus’.

Smartphones just got better at Bell as earlier today we sold our first BlackBerry Storm. Bell is offering an unbeatable 3G BlackBerry line up with the addition of the BlackBerry Storm. The BlackBerry Storm delivers a robust combination of multimedia capabilities, improved business tools and international roaming capability – all supported on the proven and trusted BlackBerry platform, and all available with a few simple taps of the screen
Wade Oosterman, President of Bell Mobility and Chief Brand Officer for Bell.

Currently the Storm is only available at select Bell location in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with a full launch expected for tomorrow (Dec. 11).

I must agree a very pathetic release by both Telus and Bell. I guess they would rather cash in for the holiday season than wait for stock to come in.
