5. Wikipanion (free)
Accessing Wikipedia has never been faster and easier than with Wikipanion, designed for easy, search, navigation and display of Wikipedia entries.

The Apple iPhone 3G made TIME’s Top 10 Gadgets List placing 3rd.
It doesn’t handle e-mail as well as the cheapest BlackBerry, and as a cellphone, it’s nothing special.  But it launched the era of mobile computing.  With thousands of applications to download, taking advantage of such innovations as onboard GPS and an array of sensors, including a motion-sensing accelerometer, the iPhone can do just about everything else.
