For those who are waiting for Howard's review, I just purchased one of these phones and am fairly happy with it.

The phone has a very nice display, 800x480, but it is resistive and does not support multitouch. However the screen is easy to manipulate with fingers and is quite responsive.

The S-Class UI is not too bad to work with and makes it easy to set up favorite contacts and multimedia. Their Today screen has a customized item called LG Idle which shows useful information at the top and a side scrolling menu of icons at the bottom. This can be easily disabled and replaced with custom today icons of course. Some nice custom apps are included such as a scientific calculator and tip calculator.

The phone reception and quality are good. However there is no voice dialing available, which seems odd in a phone of this class. Camera has flash and autofocus and is 5 MP which takes reasonably good pictures.

Internet access is quite quick with Telus' new network, and with Google maps, the phone's internal GPS works well to locate your current position (no need for Telus Navigator). The included Internet Explorer 6 is OK but I would recommend getting Opera anyways.

I'm eagerly waiting every few hours for that full review since you said on Dec 10th you'll have it in a couple of days. Sorry, I took you literally as a couple would mean "2" to me. It'll be great if you could have a small section comparing it to the iPhone 3GS. With Telus, these are the only two I will consider. The Hero has no voice dialing and that's unacceptable and it's still running on ver. 1.5 . Telus has a lot to learn about competitive selling, I think.
