Fido Releases Nokia 2220
July 1st, 2010
Fido has release the Nokia 2220. The super basic slider is only $65 off contract, or free on a 2 year term.
The Nokia 2220 features:
- Dual-band phone for GSM 850/1900
- VGA camera
- FM radio with recording feature
- HandsfreeSpeaker
- MP3 Ringtones
I recommend picking up this device off contract if it does appeal to you.

I gave up hope that Fido will ever carry a desirable phone (iPhone being the obvious exception, but it’s not my cup of tea and it comes with a mandatory data plan). I’ve been buying unlocked phones for years now since Fido’s line up is so dismal. I even have a ton of Fido dollars but no phone they offer is worth buying. I know Fido is the “value” arm of Rogers, but com on! Can we at least get one or two of the smart phones that Rogers offer????

Fido has really good plan’s, but chatter is really putting a damper on them right now. There still a really strong company.
