Some important questions remain unanswered here. Why no UMTS? Does it have expandable memory via microSD or other? It sure sounds like this phone will be locked to the Cingular network which is devastatingly disappointing. Everything I read prior to the launch suggested that Stevie was not down with the carrier subsidised handset business model and it looks like this phone will not be sub’d by Cingular. Does that mean I can go to an Apple store in June and buy this unlocked and use it on another GSM carrier(T-Mo)? Since the phone will not be subsidesed they have to sell it unlocked right? RIGHT?!?!?!?

Wow!
Wonder if one will be able to d/l songs directly into the mobile through a wireless network/hot-spot?
Hello BABYYYYYYY what a beauty and i mean that this is going to revolutionize the way we use our mobile phones and is going to make it more understandably a fashion accessory.
Andrew | January 10th, 2007 at 6:26 pm
wow that is real expensive. too bad its not comming out for verizon though. what I have heard about cingular and its bad service doesnt make me want to switch to it no matter how cool the phone is. I bet it will be overhyped and not as good as they say it will be. Companies seem to be doing that a lot lately.

Colonel Taylor | January 12th, 2007 at 7:26 pm
Although I can’t say I didn’t see this coming, it ticks me off to some degree. I have spent a bunch of time rebranding old AT&T phones that will now need to be rebranded back to AT&T. Sheesh…

What does Rogers mean when they say that they are the “clearest network” and how do they measure that and with which phone?
Or is it just false marketing buzz??
my two cents.
VZreject | January 15th, 2007 at 2:55 pm
Go luck to RadioShacks in the Phoenix area selling AT&T…when Cingular was still called AT&T Wireless in this area it SUCKED BIGTIME…changing the name to Cingular was very welcome. Now they have to switch back…..hilarious.

I was at att wireless during the phase out of us and into cingular wireless. I am still at Cingular and have to go back to att! The most frustruating thing I think to come for former att consumers who were mad that they had to change their equip since it was going to cingular, now they will see that it is going back to what most wanted the whole time

NO YOU CAN NOT MAKE A BAG PHONE INTO A GSM PHONE , BUT YOU CAN BUY OR UPGRADE TO A GSM HANDHELD PHONE AND GO TO A ROGERS DEALER AND ALSO PURCHASE A 3 WATT BOOSTER KIT AND HAVE IT MOUNTED IN TO YOUR CAR OR AS I DO PUT THE BOOSTER KIT IN AN OLD BREIFCASE AND MODIFY IT TO PLUG INTO 12 VOLT SOCKET WITH A MAGMOUNT CELL ANT FOR ROOF ETC

I sure would like to know when Nokia’s Softwear Updater for the N93 will be working. It is all very well Nokia releasing the N93i but what about those of us who bought the N93 and are having problems with the unreliable softwear. I cannot open the Web browser and Nokia’s Updater is not functioning.
Matt Galloway | January 18th, 2007 at 3:39 pm
This phone will be hot. from viewing the demo and key note video, the user interface I see that (like the ipod) Apple has written a user experience that will be far more intuitive and easy to use. After seeing it work you will say “why would anyone do it any other way” I have a Cingular 8125 and it does most of what the iPhone does (MP3, WiFi, sync with PC, etc) with MS mobile but it’s physically thick, the apps are clunky and many icons and buttons are too small. The iPhone says toss away the keypad and the stylus and use thier new touch technology. Cingular’s netork is rock solid in my area (Midwest) and they will sell many many of these. Want to know more, check out the demos at apple.
HUGH127 | January 18th, 2007 at 8:20 pm
IT’S a shame that APPLE would team up with such a terrible company such as CINGULAR.
CINGULAR can suck my bars!! i hope and pray that the ATT takeover will bring better customer service to that sad pathetic company.

If Verizon got a hold of that phone, you know they’d cripple it somehow… I’ll switch to Cingular in a heartbeat. Verizon sucks.

“You do get Bluetooth support but its pretty disappointing as it’s basically for headsets only. You can’t use it to connect to your computer or do much else with it.”
This is incorrect. If your laptop/desktop has bluetooth you can synch your phone to and from it using the NokiaPC Suite (free download). Quite simply……simple.
Uploads pictures on demand or automaticaly once it sense your home computers bluetooth connection. Phone will ask to accept connection and PC will download everything wirelessly, great for last minute dumps before heading to the pub.

That’s so similar, if not having a side by side comparison, most people will stil make a mistake. I guess those complaining about the call quality have the fake ones?
rip | February 3rd, 2007 at 8:46 am
The carrier branding should be on the back from an aesthetic view but it’s good the CDMA subscribers are finally getting offered future tech handsets and services.
rip | February 3rd, 2007 at 8:48 am
It won’t be long till Rogers here in Canada starts offering the services, as the iDen technology is going to go non-masses in the near future.
mike | February 3rd, 2007 at 8:59 am
The bluetooth on my 6275i works perfectly with my computers. I use it regularly.
The music player really stinks. Quality is fine but features and usability are poor.
Any set of wired earphones will let the FM radio work. They do not have to be “compatible” or if so, then almost every set is “compatible”. But it will not work when connected to bluetooth. Also, bluetooth stereo is not supported.
However, it is a great phone for the price because of the rest of its features, size, battery life, etc.
rip | February 3rd, 2007 at 9:43 pm
This means Telus will grab it first in Canada as history has shown, usually whatever Verizon picks up Telus is right behind them.

Hello!
I have problems to save Excel -files on memory card. When I open the Excel -file, make some changes and try to save it with the same name, the fuction is prohibited or the saving takes about 3 minutes. I have changed the memory card (KIngston 1 Gb microSD) and format the card without any improvement.
If I use the main memory, all things go fine.
I am a teacher and I use at my work quite much Excel in different fuctions. It is quite annoying that I cannot use the memory card at all with Excel -files.

Push email, qwerty keyboard, blackberry OS, talk and end keys, and its even thin, but seriously why can’t they put a camera in this one. Even a vga would be nice for taking quick shots when you dont have a camera on you or for picture caller ID!

I’m wondering if we can download themes, wallpapers from PC to nokia6275i. Virgin disables the options to load them from WAP sites. If anyone know how to download them, please let me know. I’m new with Nokia 6275i phone and with Virgin service.
When will it be available to buy?
How much?
Does it have web browsing capabilities?

I love the phone but I have two problems with it. These may be related to MS Windows Mobile 5.0 but I have not seen any comments about them in Microsoft sites or any where else so I don’t know if it is only I who has these problems:
1) There seems to be a bug in handling the “visiting” time zone. I recently traveled to another time zone and I selected this option to have all my appointments move to the new time zone (I have been a user of Windows CE devices for year and I never had problems with this function before). Then, when I synchronized with my Outlook (I had also changed the time zone in my laptop) the device ended with local correct time but it said it was in EST (my home time zone), and every time I tried to change it would go back. I ended up having to change the home time zone.
2) The alarm/notification got stuck (the light and the sound) and I don’t get the option to cancel it. There seems to be a bug that under some circumstances makes the options that are usually presented when a notification or alarms sounds (like snooze, ok, cancel) not to show ever again. I had to do a hard reset and reload my applications painstakingly again. This resolved the problem but a few weeks later the problem reappeared. HELP!

Hopefully Cingular/at&t will bring the E61i to market without screwing it up like they did the E62.
Leave it the way it is, badge it with your logo and get it to stores.
At best, put out 2 versions (one w/ camera, one w/o camera) and do nothing else…NOTHING ELSE…
The Heat is Helio’s entry level handset and for its price packs a mean punch. I’ve used this phone for a while now and its awesome. It is very durable and passed a stress test of being thrown out of the 2nd story balcony and only suffered scratches. GPS capability tied with google maps will leave you amazed wherever you go. for $150, i believe this is the best device you can get.
Don’t call it a phone..
Doug Pennington | March 2nd, 2007 at 7:12 pm
What’s the point in rolling out a high end phone like this and saddling it with tri-band! That’s like bringing out a Ferrari with a 250HP V6.
Who is the genius at Motorola that authorized this foul up. Some people might want to use this phone in China or in rural areas of Europe. Hello!! Is there anybody home!
The good: The HP iPaq 510 Voice Messenger features advanced voice-command functions and the new Windows Mobile 6 operating system with enhanced e-mail functions and Office Mobile tools. The smart phone also has a compact design, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and VoIP capabilities. The bottom line: Despite some niggling design flaws and the lack of 3G support, the HP iPaq 510 Voice Messenger offers outstanding voice-command features as well as the enhanced productivity tools of Windows Mobile 6.Pricing hasn’t been released either as of yet
rockstar | March 7th, 2007 at 10:32 pm
Yeah, I’m pretty sure they will put a camera, picture I’d caller and shitz ! Hourray ! I’m still having my ye old 7250 untill they release the dreamphone as mentioned
This phone is just overhyped by Helio, its essentially a Samsung E900 which is a crap phone, the touch sensitive keys are annoying as hell, The stated GPS functionality isnt available int he samsung E900 so I dont know where that came from and also the E900 has 2 megapixel camera and not 1.3.
HelioMan I really doubt a phone like the E900 would survive such a drop, thats not a stress test anymore thats blatant abuse.
I WILL NEVER EVER BUY THAT. I have HP6365 before and its way too disappointing. I can’t take such risk with HP again- unless I know they are releasing something that other OEMs have been released (like the rw6828)

This isn’t really a high end phone. Plus it’s targeted for the cingular networks since it uses cingulars special 3g network.

Is the Motorola M800 a replacement for those of us using the old analog bag phone?
Found your review odf this unit to be good, i.e. a real review. Prospective buyers are greatly assisted by people like you. If you never did, you should do one on the Nokia N80. I find that reviewers tend to come across as if they are paid by the manufacturers. I have had an N80 for a few days now, and my conclusion is that it must be one of the worst designed phones & software around. The text on the user interface for example is so small, people with very basic eye problems cannot use it. This is just one example of it’s bad design.

the UI isnt that terrible, granted its not the greatest, but it could be alot worse
I think it has more to do with NY City not allowing this
chad | March 19th, 2007 at 11:16 pm
Just got it. Ok so far except like above, hard to find the sweet spot. Also, another experience I had was that sometime during my use, I got feedback (literally like a microphone next to a speaker with the squealing noise). Cool thing is it has a built in radio, kinda cool at this point since I haven’t been able to put any mp3s yet.
The phone looks cool at least, I’d say it looks 20x better than most Nokias. Maybe they’ll actually care about that now.
Corey | March 20th, 2007 at 9:01 pm
Hey Anna, I just bought the phone and scratches were my biggest concern as well. All I did was go down to the mall and visited one of those kiosks in the middle of it and sure enough there was a $20 case custom made for the 6275i. I don’t much like keeping it in there when I use it because I like showing this amazing phone off, but if I really wanted to the clear plastic screen would allow me to.
Can anyone give an opinion on the music player? Does it kill battery life? I’m thinking about buying an ipod but was curious if this phone would suffice as my music player – should I choose to pay the moeny for the kit.
Cheers,
Corey
david | March 21st, 2007 at 7:34 pm
yeah but it’s probably going to have the new flash UI that came with the chocolate and lg vx 6300…I think verizon is rolling that out for everything
have been using the new Verizon PN-820 for 1 week now. It is really great. Most everything works as expected. This is the ONLY Verizon Smartphone (Windows Mobile OS) withOUT a tiny keyboard. It syncs with Outlook: smooth as pig grease.
BUT, it will not accept voice commands or voice calls thru the bluetooth headset. I called Verizon and Motorola. I also went to the Verizon store and spent 1 hour with a tech. Their conclusion: the feature just does not work! This is sad since this is a key phone for Verizon…their only phone with these key features.
There is a vague hope that Pantech will issue a software upgrade that will fix this problem with the bluetooth voice dialing and commands.
Andrew | March 26th, 2007 at 10:39 am
I’m about to buy this phone from either Virgin Mobile or Bell Mobility (both here in Toronto, Canada). I need a great quality speakerphone and excellent call quality, both on receiving and sending end. Could someone who actually owns this phone and USES THE SPEAKERPHONE extensively comment ASAP?
I own an iPod and a digital camera, so I couldn’t care less about those features. I’m buying a phone, first and foremost
Also, any problems pairing it with the Motorola bluetooth headsets (H700, for example)?
THANKS!

I love my pn-820 as well. 2 Questions: The only thing is with my failing eyesight, I find it very hard to read the Home screen. Is there anyway to make the fonts larger and change the order of items that are listed?
Also, I like the outside LCD display. However, it goes on and then off way too quickly. Is there a way to adjust this?
thanks

I’ve dropped my Treo straight to the ground from higher than that and it was fine as well. Is there an IP Rating for this device? How about a ruggedness spec? I’m interested in seeing what Motorola/Symbol are doing with this product, being the first Symbol product released after the Symbol Buyout by the big M. They seem to be following Symbol’s precedent of promising early and delivering late, with the first MC35’s not even out yet, even though it was promised in February/Mid-Q1.
I also notice it is only available with GSM a this time. I would like to see CDMA/EV-DO version in the future.
All in all, I look forward to the release of this device.

I read that if you upgrade to Voice Command 1.6, you can voice dial with a BT headset. BUT, this may also cause the incoming calls to be announced both in your headset an on the phone’s speaker.

I’ve had this phone for a little more than 3 weeks, and to date the only disappointment would be that I’m unable to set music as the ring tone. Other than that all is good, long battery life great pictures and I have had zero troubles pairing with bluetooth devices including my PC. Now we just have to find a fix for the mp3/ ring tone problem.

You can set Mp3’s as ringtones and put your own games on it, you need the program Diego 8.0+ (must be this version or higher) and you can manually unlock some settings which Virgin mobile has set. Search Google and you will find!

We just got this phone in and first impressions are really good… unti you start to play with the phone. After as many years as I’ve had in th cell phone industry, I can say that this phone is terrible. The interface design is like they took an analog motorola big bertha, and slapped it together with a sandisk sansa… with 64 megs of storage. What the hell were they thinking? The phone has NO interaction between the two sides, other than a “flip” button, and an indication on the screen saying to flp th phone. To send a text, it is a 8 step process requiring entering th phone number or manually searching th phonebook before even composing it… on a tiny 1/2 by 1.5 inch screen… with a compose area that’s about 2/3 of that! Other mp3 phones let you go from phone to music and back or vice versa… not th upstage. If you wnat to make a phone call, you have to press FLIP, which ENDs the music app, and go do your phone call… to just PLAY music?? It’s a chore using th touch buttons and unintuitive icon only based interface… Once it DOES finally launch th java based mp3 player (omg), it goes online… to access the music on your card… then it enumerates the files. 139 mp3s on a 1gig microSD card took SEVEN MINUTES to count with the phone frozen th whole time, waiting to enumerate the files… and navigating around the music player is WORSE than the Moto ROKR! it’s EXTREMELY sluggish, rediculously easy to accidentally press the wrong touch button, and a pain in the ass to keep playing continuously. And that batterycase? what an idiotic design. NO CLIP on it… yeah. It has a REALLY stiff mechanism tha holds the device with th phone face out… defeating the purpose of using it as an extended battery for the mp3 player!!!!! Open it and it’s really awkward, and you always press buttons on th side accidentally trying to just get it open. If the keypress noises don’t drive you insane, the rigid menu structure will. I am very shocked by this phone, no other samsung of ths generation is this stilted or archaic.
My recomendation is to go with one of th newer cingular phones, where they are implementing a “task switch” button, like on the CU500 where you can listen to an MP3, browse the web, chat in IM, and play a game simultaneously, and switch between then at th press of a button… and STILL receive… PHONE CALLS omg!
John Marshall | April 12th, 2007 at 10:11 pm
I have no problem receiving voice calls via a bluetooth headset and calls initiated with voice command via the phone itself have transferred seamlessly to the headset on the 4 separate headsets I have tried in effort to find ONE that would work as far as implementing voice commands VIA the headset. Thusfar – to no avail via an LG, 2 Motorola, and a Plantronics – although I DID get it to do so 3 successive times on ONE occasion – and neither I nor Verizon personnel have been able to duplicate the feat since.

I wish, oh how I wish I had read this review before I decided to order the 5300. The selling point of this phone for me was the dedicated music player buttons on the outside. And to find out that you can’t use them except for FM radio listening is disguisting. You can add your own music but don’t expect to play songs in shuffle mode, make a playlist,or just play to one song after another, no can do on your Rogers 5300. I had the nokia 6085, it doesn’t have the dedicated music buttons but the music player that’s built in at least does what it’s suppose to do. Rogers didn’t disable it, go figure. This 5300 is getting shipped back first thing smoking in the morning. Bewared; stay away from the Rogers version.

I order my 8800 from tmobile.com as upgrade on wednesday the 25th. Hasnt been sent out yet – called tmobile and they took it off the website for upgrades as they cannot meet the demand for the phone. Sucks
I can not wait until this is released on alternate provider networks. Hopefully this thing will be a powerhouse for 3rd party applications to come onboard to RIM development. Only 1.5 years left on my 2 year contract with the Pearl. Woot!

I was thinking about selling mine because I have to reboot it a couple times a day. This upgrade will be great! Finally something more stable. I love my Dash. The hardware is good, but that Microsoft OS is as stable as Windows 3.1. For a company that specializes in OS software, I hope generation 6 can allow me to get through my day without a needed reboot to fix bugs.

Amazing. I’m in Shanghai, (Purchased on-line in the USA) and had my PN-820 in my suitcase. Just as a lark, I turned it on, and punched in a number. Amazing, it works just like I was at home. Made a couple of calls from the cab coming back to the hotel. No problem getting through.
By the way, is this the most amazing non-release of a piece of equipment ever??? They still don’t have it in the stores in San Diego, and none of the clerks there have ever seen one. What’s up with that??
Haha I HAVE that phone in the picture. Cingular sucks, they try their darndest to suck every penny out of their customers with their outrageous data rates & ridiculous decisions like these. This is why I’m with Sprint.

Has anyone moved from an Audiovox (aka UTC) xv6700 Verizon Smartphone to a Pantech PN-820?
I have the xv6700 & I find it is all too easy for the phone – on its own! – to redial the last call either rec’d or made- and to redial & to redial & redial. It’s embarrassing, costly & compromising to privacy.
I’m thinking the flipphone form factor will help with this, plus the PN-820 is so much smaller & lighter. How about downloading attachments, managing contacts in-phone or accessing remote database by web?
Also, does anyone use ACT! as a contact manager? Does it work on either of these phones? How? Also, have you tried “ACT! Premium for Web?” & to use a handheld component? (I use to have a PALM PDA, but it broke as has all my PALM devices, but it was great for syncronizing a huge contact database: 6000+ now up to 6500+ contacts. Can I use my Smartphone?)
Also, how do I convince Verizon that the xv6700 is too unwieldy for me & I need to trade out (before my contract is up in Nov 2008) to a better? phone at least in flipphone form factor??? And to do it as a wash across the board or at worse, at the same attractive offer that new customers are being given ($99after rebates)
Thanks. I will be forever grateful. Owner of Phone with more smarts
Will this device support EDGE capability in the United States?

I this mobile is nice.
I would really like to see them come up with some nice clamshells that have UTMS/WCDMA for the USA too. or a nice phone the size of the T68i. I loved that phone.

Enterprising hackers on howardforums have already figured out the Rogers branding situation. As someone already mentioned it does support a2dp – I don’t have a stereo bluetooth headset but I can confirm it streams through my PC. If you really want the unit converter you can get that too right here. I’m not a phone junkie, but I like this phone; I got it through T-Mobile in the USA.

Just bought Blackberry 8800. I am forwarding my CompuServe mail to it. When I read or delete on Blackberry, it shows up same on my laptop. But when I read or delete on laptop, does not show up on Blackberry – they are piling up. Tried using the synchronize feature but saw options only for contacts etc not for emails. HELP!
It’s not an ordinary screen, it’s a touchscreen with tactile feedback — it vibrates when you press down, making it feel more like a button.

Select a song/artist…. ok…. then they don’t play the song or artist you select, but only other’s like it. It’s a licensure thing. And you cannot skip too many songs in one hour.
It stinks, and I don’t like it.

As Nokia seems not to be held responsible for the Rogers Music player, at least Nokia should try to save their name and get it removed from the device before Rogers “brand” it with its poorly designed, poorly tested application (it’s not working in Flight mode!!!). If Nokia is not a service provider, I think that Rogers should be a application developper!.

Hi, 6275i stereo bluetooth is mentioned. Can nokia verify that stereo bluetooth audio *isn’t* possible? I can’t find any bluetooth 2.0 headsets, although the phone doesn’t support A2DP surely when BT 2.0 headsets are available this will be possible?
I suspect problems are a mix of new phone with new unsupported features, simply awaiting the right accessories.
Agree? disagree?

Hi there
I was wondering if there are (good) Java music players that can be installed on this phone?
here’s a step-by-step vid of how to unlock the 5300 by yourself. just found it last night and it works great. i was locked to rogers and player sucked. they also disabled the a2dp functionality of the phone, which is why i chose it in the first place. i deleted the damn thing from my applications list right away. the vid shows how to reset the phone to factory settings. this will restore the original music player, AND let you use your mp3s for ring and text tones.
also, here’s the link for the application you need as shown in the vid.
I have a PPC 6700 which is not supported but I bought a Fusic just to get this app. I also own a Video iPod filled with music. Needless to say, I am a Sprint Employee so I get my phones/plans at discounted prices. I am however very pleased with this application as it recommends music that I like that I may not have. Then I just download the music. Get it!
fondoo | June 7th, 2007 at 10:17 am
as long as verizon did not lock the gsm and i can use it in asia. i’m all good. i dont care too much about the gps.
finally the smart buttons are on the bottom again! having it on the flap was a stupid idea. the placement on the startac’s (damn i wish i can still activate it) was perfect, why fix something if its’ not broken.
Kyle | June 8th, 2007 at 11:11 pm
Hey everyone. I’ve had the phone for about a week now, and have tinkered with it quite a bit. The bluetooth on the unit works great, you can send and recieve images, videos, themes, and all sorts of stuff.
The memory card is easier, but the location leaves something to be desired, as any time i want to access it, i have to turn the phone off.
The sound quality of music over the built in speaker leaves something to be desired, and that’s being easy on it. It does have an equalizer built in, but it’s simply not very good.
Also, if you want to use downloaded (ie- free) ringtones or games, you’re going to have to get the data cable, and use diego to unlock the settings. this is really weak, as i still haven’t got around to buying the darn thing.
The phone works fine with nokia pc suite, and a workaround for using your own mp3’s is to chop one down to about 20 seconds, and then using theme studio, mod a theme to use your file as the ringtone. Theme studio is a free file you can torrent or download from the net.
All in all, it’s a great phone for the price, and with the cable, you won’t be disappointed.
2000 songs!!! amazing! Samsung has the best shot at coming up with a product that will compete with the iphone!
rive | June 20th, 2007 at 1:05 am
I’ve ad it for about 1 month, andi it’s the best CDMA phone I can find here.
all the features works fine.
But i can’t find any guidance for using it’s GPS function.
Sure, it can pick up sattelite signal and displaying coordinates. Can anyone describe me al the function on GPS menu like waypoint, etc?
Vince | June 20th, 2007 at 1:38 pm
This phone does not play in stereo, and the nokia stereo headsets is also wired in mono. They should not advertise these phones and accessorie to have stereo if it just mono for left and right. What a major let down.
price is too much and phone looks like a piece of $hit. who da fucks wants this cheap shit?
MX | June 23rd, 2007 at 1:36 pm
As one fellow put it so well regarding this device:
This is no iphone, but I’m not interested in carrying around a large media player. The Touch is more a micro mobile office companion that can play movies and music as well. It’s a marvel of miniturisation and if used to it’s potential can be an invaluable and productive tool.
For sheer form and functionality the Touch is the ultimate Pocket PC/moibile phone to date.

i have an unlocked Nokia 6275i and i think this is a very nice phones.
The bluetooth works just fine with my computer, i use it for data transfer.
The 6275i came with travel charger, 256MB MicroSD card, stereo headset, and a PC suite software CD.
oh btw, my 6275i has stereo output. you can turn the output into stereo or mono (please refer to the Nokia’s guide book).

I was actually thrown out of the store because I when I told them that I wasn’t going to pay my first month’s bill because the phone was defective, they said they’d send collection agents after me, and I said that the collection agents “could go fuck themselves.”

I hate QWERTY keyboards and I really dislike the closed nature of the BB environment. What I want is real-time sync of email, contacts, calendar (tasks would be nice) etc in a traditional format keyboard so I can use t9 input instead of the BB imposed QWERTY format. I noticed that the new Sony Ericsson k850 is enabled with MS ActiveSync which I gather is supposed to help satisfy my desires. It is not easy to determine what other phones in the market are also capable of real time email etc – ie. BB style functionality without having to uses a BB. I can’t be he only guy in the world that doesn’t know the QWERTY board all that well and prefers T9. Besides the whole next gen of business people (our kids) are growing up on t9 because they are texting on their cell phones.
Does the new Moto maxx V6 support MS Active sync or an alternative to speak to my exchange servers??
Your truly, and very frustrated,

There is a page up/down in Opera Mini. You just push the navigation left/right keys.
Less than three weeks after the iPhone release, RIM drops some serious challenger. While I am an iPhone fan, the 8820’s built-in GPS, 32GB expansion storage, and unrestricted wi-fi is winning me over to this one.
[...] We told you it’d be coming. RIM has just announced the new BlackBerry 8820 featuring Quadband GSM, EDGE and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g. The BlackBerry 8820 features a microSD/microSDHC memory card slot supporting up to 32GB (high capacity card). Other features include stereo Bluetooth and built in GPS. [...]

I complained about the amount of dropped calls and bad reception I was experiencing months ago.A customer care person told me that the answer to dropped calls is the hybrid phone. I was talked into trying one back in Feb.07. I replaced my phone for the hybrid, this phone was no were near the phone I had but the reception was much better so I didn’t complain. I would have considered buying the new hybrid 902 phone if it was less expensive, but more important than that I now experience dropped calls and bad reception with my hybrid phone so i’m back to square one. I just want to change service once my contract is over.
PS the answer to dropped calls is not the hybrid. Sorry nextel it is what it is your phones are nice but the reception is terrible

I’ve had this phone for about a half year with Virgin. Managed to brake screen which cost me $65 to replace.
Also, dipped the phone in a glass of beer. Took it 2 days to dry up and it’s as good as new, except now it smells like beer inside
Now decided to unlock it, so, gonna have to spend another $15 for cable as diego program doesn’t work with bluetooth.
Good luck to all of you and don’t try to dip your phone into beer glass at home

Nokia 6275i. please help, i’m on my last nerve
I love this phone. i’ve just had a couple problems.
I put in a kingston 1gb microsd card. worked like a charm. until i filled it up to about 83mb. now when i try to take a picture, it says “unable to save file” and it then goes into standby mode. same for videos. i’ll save a picture on the phones memory and it’ll work fine. i’ll try to transfer it to the kingston card and it’ll say “operation failed”. i didn’t do anything differently. i was taking pictures that day, maybe 10? then a few minutes later i went to take another at work, and bam-error messages everywhere. is my card dead?
other than this, it’s been a great phone. i love it.
please help!

Phone will ask to accept connection and PC will download everything wirelessly, great for last minute dumps before heading to the pub.
rip | February 3rd, 2007 at 8:43 am

HelioMan | March 1st, 2007 at 4:13 pm

Regards.

Cheers,
Corey

have been using the new Verizon PN-820 for 1 week now.

The hardware is good, but that Microsoft OS is as stable as Windows 3.1. For a company that specializes in OS software, I hope generation 6 can allow me to get through my day without a needed reboot to fix bugs.

Agree? disagree?

here’s a step-by-step vid of how to unlock the 5300 by yourself. just found it last night and it works great. i was locked to rogers and player sucked. they also disabled the a2dp functionality of the phone, which is why i chose it in the first place. i deleted the damn thing from my applications list right away. the vid shows how to reset the phone to factory settings. this will restore the original music player, AND let you use your mp3s for ring and text tones.
also, here’s the link for the application you need as shown in the vid.

Needless to say, I am a Sprint Employee so I get my phones/plans at discounted prices. I am however very pleased with this application as it recommends music that I like that I may not have.

Don’t buy this piece of junk from bell/solo… the screen died completely after a month, and they said “physical damage” when I asked for warranty service – however, i never dropped it or otherwise abused the phone.
I was actually thrown out of the store because I when I told them that I wasn’t going to pay my first month’s bill because the phone was defective, they said they’d send collection agents after me, and I said that the collection agents “could go fuck themselves.”
Thank god I didn’t pay to have it unlocked!

Your truly, and very frustrated,
Curtiss Krawetz

Also, dipped the phone in a glass of beer. Took it 2 days to dry up and it’s as good as new, except now it smells like beer inside
Now decided to unlock it, so, gonna have to spend another $15 for cable as diego program doesn’t work with bluetooth.

Nokia 6275i. please help, i’m on my last nerve
I love this phone. i’ve just had a couple problems.
I put in a kingston 1gb microsd card. worked like a charm. until i filled it up to about 83mb. now when i try to take a picture, it says “unable to save file” and it then goes into standby mode. same for videos. i’ll save a picture on the phones memory and it’ll work fine. i’ll try to transfer it to the kingston card and it’ll say “operation failed”. i didn’t do anything differently. i was taking pictures that day, maybe 10? then a few minutes later i went to take another at work, and bam-error messages everywhere. is my card dead?
other than this, it’s been a great phone. i love it.
please help!

great review. Have you had issues with txting on the Z6? My thumb started hurting after prolonged use coz i was bending it slightly in order to txt. Other than that, i am pretty happy with it.
