Here are some slides that are alleged Globalive’s launch plans posted by HowardForums member GlobalWireless7.
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=12586419#post12586419

Some thoughts before the summary:

Slides are for Q2 2009
You can’t use your own hardware
Contracts are only 1 or 2 months
no additional charges for additional features like text, voice mail, etc
unlimited data is available with tethering as a $5 extra
no mention of any Blackberries (or iPhone)
4 Smartphones at launch:
Sidekick users rejoice as they will have the Sidekick LX. The rest of the Smartphones; Experia and HTC Magic/Dream will probably be available on Rogers already before they launch

Note the slides say Global Wireless. www.globalwireless.com goes to a pager company in Cali, globalwireless.ca and global-wireless.ca are already taken as well.

Slide EXIF info says they were taken with a SE TM506, one of the launch phones. The EXIF has a comment: “Photos from GlobalWireless updated presentation.”

They seem to be going after power users as opposed to basic users. While not cheap the plans and extras are price very aggressively. The initial coverage maps are very aggressive.

Now for some speculation on my part. One of Globalive’s brands is Yak; a low cost, basic service. Perhaps Globalive will use Yak for prepaid, more basic service and Globalwireless as a higher end offering. Sort of like Telus/Koodo, Bell/Solo/Virgin and Rogers/Fido.
