It’s kind of hard to see but my new case is covered in dust (specifically MDF dust). Click it to see a bigger version.
Lately my wife’s been bugging me to install crown moulding. I figured I’d give it a try. There’s just one problem; I’ve never done it before. I used the iPhone’s browser to help me calculate the miter and bevel angles but found the iPhone was getting covered in dust. At first I used a lint roller to get all the dust off but eventually I figured out that you can still use the iPhone if you put it inside a ziploc bag. Anyways, about 50 cuts later I’m done and my iPhone isn’t covered in dust.

We saw the Samsung Link launch on Virgin Mobile Canada earlier this week, now it is Bell Mobility’s turn to launch the full QWERTY device.
Aside from the full QWERTY keyboard the Link also features a 1.3MP camera, built in MP3 player, and Bluetooth. Head over to the Bell website or your local Bell Mobility retail location to pick up your Samsung Link.

If you want a 3Gs Rogers will give you slight more off than you’d normally get. It’s the same deal we reported a while back.
Rogers and Fido are running a special offer for existing customers who wish to upgrade to the new iPhone 3Gs.
Rogers customers:
1) If you got an iPhone between July 11th and Sept 30th and spend at least $100 a month then you can get $500 off an iPhone 3Gs if you tack an extra year onto your contract. So you can get a 16GB 3Gs for $199 and a 32GB 3Gs for $299. This offer expires July 31st 2009.
2) If you got an iPhone between July 11th and Dec 31st and don’t spend $100 a month then you get $250 off if you tack an extra year on your contract. So, 16GB 3Gs for $449 and 32GB 3Gs for $549. This offer expires July 31st 2009.
3) If the first 2 scenarios aren’t you or you don’t want another year on your conract you can upgrade to an iPhone at Rogers’ cost + $19. So, 8GB 3G for $599, 16GB 3Gs for $680 or 32GB 3Gs for $799.

We have already told you about Virgin Mobile Canada’s new Text Maniac prepaid plan, but the changes do not stop there. Major changes are currently appearing on the website to their myPlan (postpaid) offerings. From what I can tell, the website is still under construction with text and images everywhere, all myPlan rates now come with text messaging and are only available on 2 year, 30 day, no contract terms. BlackBerry plans will still require a three year term.
Virgin Mobile myPlan rates still feature no System Access Fee (SAF), no 911 fee, free plan switching, and no incoming text message charge.

The Virgin Mobile Canada webmasters are busy updating the website and refreshing their plan offerings, both prepaid and postpaid.
Looks like Virgin Mobile has added a new plan their prepaid offerings. The Text Maniac Plan is aimed at teens, or those who mostly text, which is perfect for Back-to-School. As you can see from the image, $20/month will get you unlimited texting and a low per-minute rate of $0.10. Voicemail and Call Display are included with all prepaid plans along with no SAF (System Access Fee), 911 charges, or incoming text message charge.
