Rogers has decided to publish a video they put together shareholder meeting that was held earlier this week. Although the video is not related directly to the mobile industry it does have many interesting facts on how technology is changing out day to day lives.
“We will define our future around connected experiences. Increasingly customers are buying based on brand, not product. They’re buying into companies that will offer seamless delivery of customer-driven experiences in a connected world.”
It will be interesting to see what Rogers does to make them the destination Canadians go to in this connected world.
Skyfire has released version 2.0 of their mobile browser exclusively for Android powered phones. Version 2.0 includes a host of new features such as: pinch to zoom (Android 2.0+), multi-tab browsing (up to 8 windows), Flash web videos (with adaptive streaming technology), and SkyBar.

Boost Mobile has released the SANYO Juno in both royal blue and pink.
The Juno features a full QWERTY keyboard, high resolution 2.2″ color display, 1.3MP camera, and GPS navigation. The CDMA device can be purchased online or at a Boost retail location for $99.99.
Telus’ discount brand, Koodo Mobile will be launching the BlackBerry 8530 “later this spring”.
The BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone comes in charcoal and is expected to retail for $300, or $150 for new customers who put the smartphone on their Tab. Existing customers who have paid their Tab in part or in full can also use the Tab to get the new BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone.

The Motorola BACKFLIP is now available on TELUS for $99.99 on a 3 year. It’s a mid-range Android phone (480×320 display, 528Mhz processor, 3.1″ display, etc) which has Motorola MOTOBLUR social networking software.
It has an interesting design where the screen is on the front and a QWERTY keyboard is on the back. You can flip it open half way so it’s like a photo frame or all the way so it’s like a phone with a keyboard.
Nokia just has announced the N8 which runs the new Symbian^3 platform. It has a 12MP camera that can also record high definition video. It comes with software you can use to edit the high def video plus and HDMI port you can use to connect the N8 to a TV.
You get a 3.5″ 640×360 (same resolution as the N97, N97 Mini, 5320, 5800) but the N8 comes with a capacitive display.The display comes with multitouch support including pinch zooming.
It comes with 16GB of built in storage with a microSDHC card slot.
The body is made from a single piece of aluminum.
Price will be 370 Euros (approx $500 USD/CAN) and will be available in Q3 2010.

Motorola just released their Android 2.1 update for Milestone users on TELUS. Here’s what’s new:
Animated Wallpapers: This additional wallpaper option enables you to select from a number of wallpapers that can move on your home screen<s>. A selection of animated wallpapers are bundled with the software update – further wallpapers are available on the Android Market.
Multiple home screens The number of home screens you can have now also just got bigger – you can choose to have 3, 5, 7, or even 9 home screens – plenty of space for all your widgets and icons.
Facebook App and Widget A free Facebook App and Widget is included in this update. The Application enables contact importation including Names, Profile Pics and Status into your phones’ contacts. The Widget can be placed on one of your home screens to stream live updates from your Facebook account.
Google Maps Updates** Personalized suggestions: Google Maps on your Android device suggests (auto-completes) locations based on your personal search history on maps.google.com.
Sync with desktop: synchronizes starred items between Google Maps on your Android device and maps.google.com. Sync and personalized features require a user to be logged in to myGoogle account while on maps.google.com
Multi touch is now also enabled within Google Maps.

When I think of Sony Ericsson and smartphones the first thing that I think of is that they were all late. The P800, was late, so was the P900, P910, etc all the way to the Xperia X1. Now we have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, an Android phone. On paper it’s a nice phone; 4″ 854×480 display, 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. SE also launched it in a timely matter. So how is it?
